GETTING TO KNOW CARMEN RODRÍGUEZ

Carmen is a multidisciplinary dance artist who has trained extensively in ballet, flamenco, and contemporary dance. After her studies in Spain, she moved to Berlin to focus on contemporary dance and completed an intensive one-year program with the Dart Company. Since then, Carmen has continued to expand her dance repertoire by taking open classes in a range of styles including ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and commercial dance. Carmen’s diverse training has given her a wide range of influences to draw from in her practice as a dancer and choreographer. Her talent has been recognized through selection for the festival Raw and Polished in Nuremberg twice, once as a dancer and once as a choreographer. She has a passion for teaching dance as she believes it is a way to learn about the capabilities of our bodies while also sharing our emotions. Her love for dance and teaching is evident in her work, and she continues to inspire and motivate others through her performances and classes.
